BETWEEN THE RIVERS
MFA Visual Communication, Final Degree Show at Konstfack Spring Exhibition 2022
Between the Rivers is an illustrated novell aimed at adults about inbetweenship and loss of cultural belonging. In the story, two stories are woven together, one of which is based on the author’s autobiography and the other is based on an ancient Mesopotamian myth about Inanna, the goddess of love and war. The interaction between text and image is an exploration of important moments based on two life destinies that give each other meaning and together create a deeper knowledge and understanding.
